Meta is testing Landing Page Experience, a new AI feature in Facebook Ads Manager that builds its own version of a landing page from the advertiser's website. Some users who click an ad may land on a Meta-generated page instead of your site.
What Landing Page Experience is
The feature appears among experimental Advantage+ creative enhancements. Meta's description reads: "We'll use AI to generate a visual landing page from your website, highlighting your key services and calls to action." It extends Advantage+ Creative, which already changes text, backgrounds, formats and images, to what happens after the click.
Where to find it and how to turn it off
- Advertising Settings → Creating ads → Advantage+ creative → the option to test new AI generation features.
- Only advertisers opted into all Advantage+ creative enhancements take part.
- Each experimental feature can be toggled individually, or the whole test can be turned off.
- Meta says fewer than 5% of ad impressions may be shown with new enhancements.
Why it matters for affiliate marketers
- Conversion: AI decides what to keep and what to cut, and may drop the key trigger of a long pre-lander.
- Offer compliance: the generated page may present the product differently from what the advertiser requires.
- Tracking: it is not yet public how Landing Page Views, the Pixel, Conversions API and third-party trackers handle these pages.
For now this is a limited experiment on a small share of impressions, not a built-in landing page builder or a 50/50 split test.
What media buyers should do now
- Check every ad account for the new AI generation test in Advantage+ creative settings.
- Compare link clicks with Landing Page Views.
- Use UTM tags and reconcile tracker data with Ads Manager.
- Watch for Meta updates, as tested features often roll out to everyone later.
