ShardX is a rare free anti-detect where spoofing is done inside Chromium itself (Blink, V8, network stack) rather than via JS injection, so values match across iframes, workers and DevTools and checkers have nothing to catch. It is built by the team behind the ProxyShard proxy service: the launcher is MIT-licensed, the engine is a closed binary downloaded on first run.
Strengths
- 170 ready-made real-device profiles (Mac M1–M5, Windows on RTX/GTX/Intel/AMD, Linux) with coherent CPU, RAM, GPU and UA.
- WebGPU, fonts, Client Hints, TLS ClientHello (JA4 matches real Chrome) and CDP side channels are all covered.
- QUIC/HTTP-3 and WebRTC run through the proxy's UDP relay with no real-IP leak; timezone, locale and geo are derived from the proxy exit country.
- SOCKS5 / HTTP / HTTPS proxies with bulk import and live testing (TCP, UDP, geo).
- Automation: local HTTP API, MCP server, Python, Node and Rust SDKs that run without a GUI.
- Free with no profile limit; you only pay for proxies.
- Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon, Linux x64.
Caveats
Builds are not signed by Apple or Microsoft, so Gatekeeper and SmartScreen complain on first launch; xattr or "Run anyway" fixes it. No cloud profile sync or team permissions like paid anti-detects offer. Full QUIC and WebRTC through the proxy need UDP support on the provider side. The project is young — test critical setups with checkers yourself.
Who it is for
Solo affiliates and scrapers who want a free anti-detect with engine-level spoofing and convenient API automation. Teams that share profiles and access rights are better off with paid options from the catalog for now.
